There is good in Xue Yang; he is just defensive about it. Xingchen slips his arms around his lover's neck and rests against him, soaking in his warmth. It's good to be alive again - even if he worries for his loves.

"We can go North." he murmurs, "And find a place that is near a town. A-Yang and I can make sure we have what we need."

It's also strange to see Xingchen so readily return the affection. Song Lan tries not to let the jealousy consume him.

Xue Yang is not paying attention to Song Lan at all - his focus firmly on Xiao Xingchen. "Yeah... we'll find a good place," he murmurs as he carries Xingchen into the bedroom and gently puts him on their bed.

Xingchen trembles as he is set on the bed. He feels...paper thin. Putting his head down on a pillow, he sighs.

"Zichen will keep us safe." he smiles a little, "A-Qing can go into town too. She can make friends."

He knows she is charming and sweet when she wants to be.

Xue Yang nods and sits down at the side of the bed. Xiao Xingchen looks so fragile. Xue Yang wants to wrap him in his arms and never let go. "Do you want me to lay down with you?" he asks, stroking over Xingchen's hair.

It eventually gets too difficult to watch them together, and Song Lan starts to back out of the room.

"Zichen... Don't go." Xingchen raises his voice and pats the bed at his side, "Lay here, love." he then nuzzles Xue Yang's hand and tugs on his arm, urging him to lay on his other side, "We can all rest. There is no reason to fight."

Xue Yang tenses a bit, and exchanges a loaded look with Song Lan. They stare at each other for a moment, but then Song Lan starts to walk back into the room.

Xue Yang makes a face, but he doesn't protest. Instead he kicks his shoes off and crawls over to lay behind Xingchen, arms immediately draping tightly and possessively around him.

Song Lan carefully lays down on the other side of Xingchen, but hesitates to touch him, no matter how much he would like to.

Xingchen feels the tight grip and smiles a little, squeezing Xue Yang's arm. He knows how much it hurts to lose something...someone...dear. It must hurt to share too. He feels the bed dip as Zichen joins them and he carefully lays a hand on his soulmate's cheek.

"I can't believe you're both here..."

It does. Xue Yang doesn't like it one bit, but if sharing with Song Lan is the only way he can have Xiao Xingchen, then... he'll do it. He has a feeling that Song Lan will come to the same conclusion, if he hasn't already.

For now he presses his face into Xingchen's neck and softly kisses him there.

I am so happy that you're back, Song Lan says through their connection, leaning into the touch to his cheek.

He feels the kisses and smiles, pressing back against Xue Yang. Time will surely make this easier and he thinks...he hopes...leaving Yi City behind will also help. They can travel together and get to know each other without a shadow hanging over their every step.

"This is where I want to be." he caresses Zichen's cool cheek, "Get under the covers, loves. We can share our body heat."

Maybe. They do have something in common and that's their love for Xiao Xingchen and want to keep him safe and happy. Maybe they can learn to cooperate and maybe even tolerate each other eventually. Xue Yang doesn't consider the possibility of more than that.

He crawls under the covers and kisses Xingchen's neck again. "Get some rest, Xingchen."

Song Lan hums his agreement as he tentatively crawls under the covers as well, putting a gentle hand on Xingchen's waist.

He believes in them. He loves them with everything he has to give. The sweetness in them - the side they show him - will surely bring them together.

Xingchen feels the blanket lift and he nestles under it too, smiling when Zichen's hand rests on his waist. Good. They are both with him. He is already beginning to nod off as Xue Yang encourages him to sleep.

"Mmm sweet dreams..."

Song Lan doesn't sleep, doesn't need to. Instead he watches over Xingchen, keeping that hand on his waist as he does.

Xue Yang tries to do the same, but he's too tired. It's too easy to drift off to sleep when he's warm and comfortable and snuggling Xingchen in his arms.

Xingchen sleeps deeply and well, barely moving. When he starts to stir, he inches his way closer to Zichen and kisses his cheek. Then he snuggles back against Xue Yang. Yes, they are both still with him.

"What time is it?" he has absolutely no way to tell anymore.

Song Lan glances out of the window. Evening. It's starting to get dark outside. He glances over to the other bed, noticing A-Qing curled up asleep on it. A-Qing is here too, sleeping.

Xue Yang remains asleep, clinging to Xingchen in his sleep.

"Ah good." Xingchen makes sure his blindfold is in place and then relaxes back against the bed, "You stayed the whole time." he knows that down to his bones. His Zichen had stayed and watched over them.

Of course. He hadn't noticed when A-Qing had crept into the room, but that's because he'd been so focused on Xingchen. He glances over Xingchen's shoulder, a little amazed at how peaceful and harmless Xue Yang looks in his sleep.

Are you hungry?>/i> he asks, We've probably slept past dinner.

"Thank you." Xingchen whispers, laying a hand on Zichen's chest. No heart beats beneath his palm, but that doesn't stop him from wanting to pull his lover closer.

"I am. We should all eat." he chuckles, "After A-Yang wakes up. He's a heavy sleeper."

Song Lan wants to be pulled closer, wants to be kissed again and not just something like that brief peck in the washroom. A real, proper kiss, but he remembers that he doesn't have a tongue and maybe that will put Xingchen off. He'd never say it of course, he's too nice...

I can make you something, he communicates instead.

"Not yet." Xingchen murmurs and gives into his desire. What better time than now? Zichen is...right here. Gathering his courage, he tugs on his lover's robe and guides himself to his lips with his fingertips. Then he kisses him warmly, smiling the entire time.

Oh. Song Lan lets out a soft gasp when Xingchen does in fact pull him closer and kisses him. He can't help but to slide his arm further around Xingchen, holding hil closer too as he presses into the kiss as much as he can without parting his lips. He can't help feeling self-conscious.

Once he senses the hesitation, he licks at Zichen's lips, silently asking for permission. He won't force his love, but he also wants him to know that nothing about him disgusts him. They are the way they are and they can't regrow the parts they have lost.

Even so, his love has only grown. If his Zichen can kiss him after he laid in a coffin for so many months, a missing tongue is nothing.

Song Lan could never find anything about Xingchen off-putting. He's the only person he's been able to touch and be touched by without discomfort. Xiao Xingchen may have spent all that time in a coffin, but Song Lan is technically dead so he doesn't even think about it. He's mostly surprised that Xingchen wants to do this with him.

So he tentatively parts his lips to let Xingchen in.

His Zichen is his whether he is dead or alive. Xingchen is intent on warming his poor love - even if he doesn't need it. There will always be lingering guilt that he had been the one to kill his Zichen, but his love is stronger.

Once those lips part, he sighs happily and slips his tongue inside, showing Zichen how nice a kiss - a deep kiss - can feel.

Song Lan would of course never blame Xingchen for what had happened. No, the only responsible is currently curled up against Xingchen's back like a cat leeching heat from his body. Sleeping peacefully as if he has any right to it.

He doesn't want to think about Xue Yang though. Not when Xingchen is kissing him deeply evidently not put off by the lack of a tongue to greet his. It makes him feel hot in his robes, makes him wonder what it'd be like to feel Xingchen's hands on him without anything in the way...

Xingchen doesn't want to live in bitterness and hate. If he can encourage Xue Yang to do better - be better - this is the road he has chosen. He will also support his Zichen as they all adapt to...a new way of life. He doesn't want anyone to feel abandoned.

The kiss ends and Xingchen can't help feeling...hot. Aroused. He kisses his Zichen again and works a hand into his robes to touch the place he had stabbed.

Oh he remembers.
