[ Xue Yang gasps and snuggles into Xingchen's shoulder, tears streaming down his cheeks. He clings, shuddering as he feels his lover come inside of him. ]

A-Chen... [ He gasps and sobs softly, holding on tight even as his whole body trembles. ]

[Xingchen clings to Xue Yang, whispering comforting words into his ear and rubbing over his back and his hair. The tears break his heart and yet something tells him they are good.

Maybe their hearts are finally meeting.]

[ It is good! A bit of an emotional release after everything. Xue Yang normally hates being vulnerable and weak, but he feels safe enough around Xingchen to allow himself to be.

He cries until his tears dry up, but he never stops clinging to Xingchen, letting himself be held and comforted. ]

[He is safe with Xingchen. He can cry and scream and cling and Xingchen won't stop comforting him.

When he senses the tears slowing, he kisses Xue Yang's temple and pulls out a clean handkerchief, dabbing at his lover's face.]

You've been through a lot. You're not alone, A-Yang.

[ Xue Yang leans into the kisses and touches, soaking it all up. The love and comfort Xiao Xingchen provides is just what he needs. ]

I love you, A-Chen. [ He murmurs softly. ]

[Xingchen kisses Xue Yang's shoulder and smiles against his skin. His hands move over his lover's body slowly, soothingly, mapping out his soft skin and muscles.]

That amazes me. [He sighs.] But I feel it. I love you too, A-Yang.

[ Xue Yang lets out a soft little, pressing his lips to Xingchen's shoulder. ]

I'm amazed you love me... [ But he does believe him. ]

Why? Because of your crimes? [Xingchen feels the kiss and sighs.] A-Yang, there is more to you than your past. I've seen him.

[ Xue Yang is silent for a moment before speaking again. ] I hurt you both... so much. No one would blame you for hating me, for... for wanting me dead. I wouldn't blame you.

I made my choice. [Xingchen touches Xue Yang's chin, expression solemn.] I don't want to live in regret. I don't want to wonder what could have been. I love you and instead of letting that become...hatred...I am choosing to stay in love.

[ Xue Yang lets out a shuddering sigh and puts their foreheads together. ]

You're so much better than I deserve. [ He says it affectionately though. ] I love you.

[Xingchen kisses Xue Yang's chin.]

[ Xue Yang melts into Xingchen's arms and nods. ]

[ He hesitates for a moment before speaking again: ]

What do you think will happen if we complete our sentences? Will we go back home?

[Xingchen nestles them together, wishing he could answer those questions positively. He just...doesn't know.]

I'll find you. [Regardless.] Wait for me. Look for me.

[ Xue Yang feels a little choked up all of a sudden, clinging tighter to Xingchen. ]

I don't... I don't want to go back. What if you'll be... dead?

[He frowns sadly and rubs over Xue Yang's back and arms, trying to reassure him despite their future being unknown.]

I won't leave you. Even as a spirit, I will stay.

[ A couple of tears run down his cheeks. ]

I don't want you to be dead... I don't want to be alone there again. I'd rather stay here forever with you.

[ Xue Yang sniffs and leans deeper into Xingchen's arms. ]

I hope so... [ He shudders a little and nuzzles into his shoulder. ] Can we lay down? [ He suddenly feels exhausted, and he wants Xingchen to hold him. ]

[The warm weight is so sweet. Xingchen shifts them onto the bed and lays back, pulling Xue Yang down with him.]

Yes, sweetheart. [He tucks the blankets around them, kissing the top of his head.]

[ Xue Yang relaxes and snuggles up into Xingchen's arms. He yawns and buries his face against his lover's neck. ]

[Xingchen hugs Xue Yang tighter for a moment, kissing his cheek. Then he relaxes with a soft sigh.]

I love you more. [He teases.]
